UNIDAD DIDÁCTICA : A DAY IN CANADA



1. PRESENTATION

The characters of this course book are Tom , Beth and Witty and in this unit they are going to visit Canada. Pupils are going to remember vocabulary about the weather and the time, and they are going to study the Present Simple in daily routines.
(Unit 5)



2. OBJECTIVES

To know the vocabulary: What´s the time?

To know the vocabulary: What's the weather like?

Grammar: to understand Present Simple and daily routines.

To listen texts about the weather.

To speak  about the weather and the time.

To read texts about the weather and daily routines.

To write guided texts about the weather and daily routines.

3. ACTIVITIES

Tell the time in each clock.

Identify the vocabulary about the weather.

Study the daily routines.

Write about daily routines.

Listen texts about the daily routines .

Speak with your classmate to know their daily routines.

Read about the weather in different cities in Canada.

Write about the weather in your country.






FINAL TASK

Write a postcard to your English friend in London to tell him or her about your daily routines at school and explain to him or her about the weather in your city.


4. EVALUATION
Identify the global and specific information in oral texts in different contexts.


Speak about known themes in daily life.

Read and understand different texts about interesting themes.

Make written texts depending on the receiver, the kind of text and the purpose.

Rhyme, stress and intonation in English language. 

Learning to learn strategies.

Interest in relationships with English people to value their language and culture, and the importance of language as mean of communication.

Identify some aspects of the English costumes, traditions, etc.



5. METODOLOGÍA:


En esta unidad proponemos que el alumno:

Utilice la información de su libro de texto, además de la proporcionada en el blog.

Haga el trabajo individualmente.

Realice las acticvidades en el cuaderno o en el Writer.

Realice preguntas de autoevaluación , refuerzo , repaso....

Autoevaluación.

Exposición oral y en lengua inglesa de la tarea final (FINAL TASK)
